Pastor Nick Lloyd is one of the most down‑to‑earth, real men you’ll meet in Nacogdoches. You won’t find a stuffed suit in the pulpit or hear fancy words meant to make you feel small or confused. At Victory Fellowship, you’re welcomed by a bald‑headed, jeans‑wearing mechanic with a native East Texas accent who simply can’t stop talking about the Jesus who pulled him out of the miry mess. Nick is relatable because he’s been there and done that, and his testimony fuels the affection and gratitude he carries for our Savior. He loves the Word and is well known for reminding the Victory family to stay in their Bibles or “you’re gonna starve to death, Child of God!” Second only to the Lord and His Word, Nick loves his wife, his kids, his grandbaby, and his folks. You’ll feel like family the moment you’re greeted by him or by his refreshingly off‑beat, beautiful wife, Brandy. With hearts of gold, a love for people, and a deep devotion to the Lord, they lead this warm, friendly, welcoming, and wonderfully eclectic congregation with authenticity and joy. Their willingness to follow the Holy Spirit sets a tone you can feel the moment you walk through the doors. Humble to a fault, Nick and Brandy never came intending to lead. They were simply visiting as guests. But as Nick tells it, “Every time I walked into the sanctuary, the Lord said one word to me: ‘Help.’ After the third visit and the third time He said it, I started helping. Little did I know what God had planned when I obeyed that prompting.” Three short months later, Nick became the Pastor of Victory Fellowship. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” he says. “Brandy and I agree—this has been the greatest journey with the most God‑centered, kind, loving, and accepting congregation we’ve ever had the privilege to worship with.” It’s Nick’s prayer to lead many people to Jesus and to welcome all who need love, forgiveness, and a family into the gift of Christ’s salvation.
Brandy Lloyd is anything but your typical pastor’s wife—and that’s exactly why she’s so loved at Victory Fellowship. Then again, this isn’t your typical church. You might spot her walking through the doors with purple-highlighted hair, retro sneakers, and a 24 oz Dunkin’ coffee in hand—but you won't find her walking in without her faith in Jesus on straight and her crazy love for people all over her. Ask her, and she’ll tell you—in a million years she never thought she'd be married to a pastor. In fact, she’s been known to say, “I’ll be darned if I ever planned on going back to another church in my life.” She understands “church hurt” on a personal level, and she’s made it her mission to live as the opposite of that—intentionally creating space for healing, grace, and belonging. Brandy isn’t easily shaken by real life or messy situations. Where others might hesitate, she leans in. She carries a heart for “the least of these” and lives it out daily— inviting someone off the street to church, sharing Jesus in a thrift store, or giving her testimony from a salon chair in town. She’s a fiercely proud mom to her kids and son-in-law—the most fun and doting grandma to her curly- headed granson and if you get her started on her boys in Belize, you’d better plan to stay awhile. Brandy's missional heart and passion for helping others is her defining feature standing strong next to her evangelist husband, Pastor Nick. Together, they’re down-to-earth, real, and anything but average—a powerful team building a Kingdom community filled with people just like you and me.
